Non-Executive Director & Mentoring

The Director, Vince Craig, is ideally positioned to act as non-executive director for companies in the manufacturing or retail sectors. He brings many years of experience in these fields, operating at board level in multi-million turnover companies both in the UK and across Europe.

Vince is particularly pleased to continue his relationship with the British Frozen Food Federation where he chairs both the Technical and Legislative and Health and Safety committees . In May 2014 he was appointed Senior Independent Director for the newly formed board of this leading trade association

Vince is proud to be an assessor and chair of the committee for the Institute of Food Science and Technology’s register of Auditors and Mentors.

 In 2007 he joined the board of the Shropshire Rural Community Council, the County’s biggest charity in providing services to local groups and organisations. He is Deputy chair of the board and chairs their finance committee.

He has had experience in working as a mentor under the Institute of Grocery and Distribution’s small business scheme. The three companies which he worked with, benefited from his help in developing their long-term strategies as well as acting as a sounding board for their day to day activities and he was particularly proud to be the mentor of MacSweens of Edinburgh, the first winner of the IGD’s prestigious Small Business of the Year. Since then Vince has acted as a mentor for the Coventry based Food and Drink Net Project and for the Manufacturing Advisory Service providing crucial business advice to a wide range of SME’s.

In addition to the numerous private firms he has helped mentor in the UK, he was proud to be asked  to act as a mentor for a number of senior members of the buying and technical teams of Sobeys Inc, Canada’s second largest food retailer.

He was appointed for two three year terms by DEFRA as a council member for Food from Britain.

He continues as a trained mentor for the Prince,s Trust, The Woodland Trust, Sport Ed and The Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce
